CSCS Health and Safety Card
Samka Architectural Solutions Limited takes Health and Safety Training and Site Training very seriously and in the light of that have now set a minimum expectation that every employee should hold a CSCS Health and Safety Card and be trained on site equipment that may be required.
We are therefore delighted to announce that three of our operatives have recently passed their Health and Safety Tests and are now holders of the relevant and required CSCS Site Cards. Our factory and site operatives are now all CSCS Card holders and are given regular internal updates on Health and Safety.
Safe Crane, Rigging and Slining Operations
One of our operatives also holds a Slinger Banksman qualification. A slinger banksman is responsible for ensuring safety in crane, rigging and slinging operations. Having an accredited slinger banksman enables Samka to undertake the role of slinger banksman and preserve the safety of all crew members.
Our team have all had Asbestos Awareness Training.
Most of our operatives hold a Fork Lift Truck Licence, including our Commercial Director, and we own our own Counterbalance FLT which is mainly used in our factory in Reading.
Tool Box talks are given on a regular basis as needed and at least once a quarter we hold a full team meeting in which everyone is updated on Health and Safety matters. A team meeting always contains a Tool Box Talk and only last week Driving, Vehicle Care and The Law were addressed.
NEBOSH efforts continue
Our Senior Site Supervisors are booked in to complete their SMSTS and our Managing Director is looking to book the NEBOSH Construction Certificate for early next year which will compliment the NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety that she already holds.
Samka Architectural Solutions Limited believes that quality comes from an inherent understanding of good housekeeping, health and safety and driving change within construction.
